Dateline: McKenzie, TN Funeral service for Harry Donald David, is 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend LaTricia Trull of the First United Methodist Church where Mr. David is a member. Visitation is Thursday, 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is at Tumbling Creek Cemetery, Gleason. Mr. David, 94, died February 11, 2018 at Methodist Hospice, Memphis, TN. He was born in Mounds, IL on January 9, 1924, to Benjamin Frederick John David and Mabel Evelyn Nix David. He served in the U.S. Army (March 1943 -. January 1946) World War II European Theatre, 75th Division 290th Infantry, in the battles of the Battle of Bulge and Colmar Pocket. He was wounded in Central Europe in April 1945 and received a Purple Heart. Mr. David received his Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University, Master of Business Administration and Doctorate of Business Administration degrees from Indiana University School of Business and served on the faculty of the Indiana University School of Business from 1953-1989. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Frances Oliver David, four sisters Ruth Evers, Verna Mae Boyd, Patricia Wheeler and Shirley Ann David and two brothers Loren David and Warren David. Survivors include his daughter Victoria David Docauer (David) of Germantown and three grandchildren James Alexander Docauer (Wing Yan Ho), Eleanor Katherine McNeive (Ryan) and John Maxwell Docauer (Nicole).
