Marjorie Lee Lemonds Soper, 90, went to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, which would have been her 65th Wedding Anniversary. Marge was born on December 23, 1927 at home on Blooming Grove Rd in McKenzie to Edward Leland and Rubye Lee Gooch Lemonds. On May 23, 1953, she married the love of her life, Edward H. Soper of Albany New York. After college they eventually made their home in Naperville IL. She worked as a Teacher andguidance counselor and was loved by the many students she served. The Sopers owned and operated a dental office for many years. They enjoyed spending weekends at their lake house and on their boat. Upon retirement, they relocated back to the area, settling in McKenzie in what she called her big house which she needed for all the antiques she loved to collect. Marge was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Soper; her parents Rubye & Leland Lemonds; her twin brother Kenneth Lemonds, her brother Ray A. Lemonds, two sisters, Audrey F. Lemonds Crossett and E. Jayne Lemonds Fowler; a nephew, John Fowler, two nieces, Susan Fowler and Mary Lynn Fowler Hill. She is survived by her sister, Julia Lemonds Fowler; a sister-in-law Martha Hopper Lemonds; a brother-in-law, Robert (Bob) Fowler; and nieces and nephews, Kenney Lee Lemonds, Tommy Fowler, Kris Fowler (Sal) Capua, Debra Lemonds (Mark) Nelson, Sandra Lemonds Gill, Pam Crossett Trevathan, David Crossett, Roxana Crossett (Terry) Smyth, Tim (Jan) Crossett, Kelle Fowler (Randy) Bailey, Steve (Karen) Fowler; several great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at the Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home in McKenzie TN. At 1:00 on Saturday May 26, with services at 2 p.m.
