Peggy Mai Williams

  Dateline: Milan, TN   Services for Peggy Mai Williams, 83, will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 12 noon at Temple Baptist Church in Milan, TN with Brother Mark Lynch officiating.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Milan, TN.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 10:30 am until service time. Mrs. Williams, a retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Safety as a Supervisor of Driver’s License and was the first lady supervisor in the State of Tennessee with this department, died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Humboldt Nursing Home.  She was born on November 10, 1934 in Trenton, TN to Willie B. and Rosie Rosson Raines. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Williams, a son Michael Brasher, a granddaughter Amanda Rowland, and a step son Earl Williams, Jr.    Survivors include two sons Tony Brasher of Gibson, TN and David Williams of Georgia, four step daughters Pamela Laws, Teresa Jakes, Kimberly Harrison, and Michael Williams all of Smyrna, TN, a sister Rachel Embrey of Memphis, four grandchildren Brandon Brasher, Jackson Woodard, Mason Williams, Madison Williams all of GA, a great grandson Jackson Brasher, eight step-grandchildren, and twenty five step great - grandchildren.   Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
